Dr. Ambe White
Who Is Dr. Ambe?
Ambe White is a consultant, public speaker, instructor and trainer. Her career in human resource management and higher education has provided her the experience to help organizations create an inclusive and efficient working environment and inspire people of all backgrounds.
Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Ambe attended the HBCU (historically black college or university), Lincoln University for her undergraduate degree majoring in Marketing. She earned a master’s degree in higher education administration and human resource management from University of Kansas and Webster University respectively. She is recently earned her doctorate in education leadership.
In the private sector, Ambe developed her expertise in organizational development, in recruitment, employee retention, and training. Working in education and nonprofits, Ambe has a diverse work experience, where she advised students and student-athletes, directing and developed an advisement office with staff and faculty training, and managed a college-access program.
She currently holds an academic dean position where she has improved her division culture by team building, increased diversity within the faculty, and improved relations within her department. She has implemented and still leads the diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative as well as develops faculty training programs and has been invited to present her best practices all across the country. During her leisure time she enjoys teaching spinning classes, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her daughters, Imani and Tiani, were collegiate athletes and Ambe has enjoyed cheering them on throughout their basketball careers.
